How to load a new Packetshaper image via FTP

General instructions to load a new Packetshaper image via FTP:

  1. Download new image from packeteer (i.e.latest.zoo or ram.zoo)
  2. Save file to local drive.
  3. FTP to Packetshaper and login (username=”blank”, password=”touch password”)
  4. Change to “bin i”
  5. “PUT” filename, i.e. put ram.zoo
  6. Quit FTP.
  7. Open a Telnet session to the Packetshaper
  8. Login using the “touch” password
  9. From the command line, type IMAGE LOAD filename, i.e. (IMAGE LOAD RAM.ZOO)
  10. Confirm loading the new image and reboot.
  11. After Packetshaper has rebooted, telnet to the Packetshaper
  12. Login using the touch password and type IMAGE SHOW.
  13. You should see the new image listed as the active image.
