What operating systems does Sophos Small Business work on?
- Windows 98 SE/Me, 2000/2003/2008, XP Home and Pro, Vista; Mac OS X 10.2 and higher.
- The email server for Sophos Security Suite runs on Windows 2000/2003/XP Pro/2008, Small Business Server 2003: 1 GB free disk space, minimum RAM 256 MB.
- The server computer (including Sophos Control Center) runs on Windows 2000/2003/XP Pro/2008, Small Business Server 2003: 1 GB free disk space, minimum RAM 256 MB
Note that adware and PUA detection is not available Windows 98 or on Macs.
Does Sophos Small Business run on Macs?
Yes. Mac OS X 10.2 and higher. Adware and PUA detection is not available for Macs. Please note that the management console runs on Windows 2000/2003/XP Pro/2008.
What are the differences between the three versions of Sophos Small Business?
Sophos Anti-Virus SBE and Sophos Computer Security are the with the exception of the client firewall. Sophos Computer Security includes the Client Firewall and offers zero-day protection, preventing intrusion by hackers and application hijacking, and blocking malware and spyware from stealing and distributing confidential information.
Sophos Security Suite is identical to Sophos Computer Security but also includes Puremessage for Microsoft Exchange to give you integrated gateway and messaging protection. If you don’t run exchange, you don’t need this version.
