Description
The Packeteer Specialist – Level I course is the first level of training in the Packeteer Certification Training program. The aim of this 3-day course is to develop basic knowledge and skills sufficient to operate an installed PacketShaper on a day-to-day basis. The course is instructor-led and provides an effective mix of operational theory and hands-on performance-based exercises.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the function/purpose, benefits, features and capabilities of Packeteer’s PacketShaper
- Install and configure the PacketShaper
- Classify network traffic
- Gain visibility into network and application behavior
- Control network traffic
- Compress network traffic
- Maintain the PacketShaper
- Troubleshoot network traffic problems
- Plan a PacketShaper deployment
- Implement a PacketShaper deployment
- Manage network application performance using the PacketShaper.
