The Blue Coat SG510 Series provides small enterprises and remote offices a 1U rack mount proxy appliance with secure remote administration features. The 510 series is purpose-built, providing flexible control with high-end performance with up to 2GB of memory and 600GB of disk capacity. Utilizing a custom, object-based OS with integrated caching for performance, organizations can advise, coach, enforce granular policies down to individual users.
With the same protection and acceleration features found in our enterprise-grade SG8100 Series platform, the Blue Coat SG510 offers an affordable rack-mountable appliance solution for small enterprises and branch offices which have direct access to the Internet.
Located at the edge of an organization’s application delivery infrastructure, the SG510 provides controlled acceleration of business applications across the globally-distributed enterprise. Leveraging Blue Coat’s MACH5 technology, users located at branch office locations enjoy the same LAN-like performance and user experience as those located at headquarters or the data center. The SG510 platform also provides effective control of the enterprise’s Internet traffic, including gateway protection from web-based threats such as spyware, malicious mobile code, and phishing attacks.
