Utilizing a custom, object-based OS with integrated caching for performance, organizations can advise, coach and enforce granular policies down to individual users.
The SG810 Series of rack-mountable proxy appliances provides enterprises and large branch offices with the power to protect and accelerate web communications and business applications.
Located at the Internet gateway, the SG810 platform provides effective control of the enterprise’s Internet traffic, including protection from spyware, malicious mobile code, inappropriate web usage, and potential legal liability – while actually improving web performance.

Centralized policy administration (for multi-appliance deployments) is provided by Blue Coat Director, while Blue Coat Reporter provides log aggregation from appliances for concise reports and analysis of web communications and policy enforcement.
