XyLoc: Ensuring Authorized Access to Workstations
XyLoc is a comprehensive and scalable solution that delivers convenient security when it’s needed most—after logon, whenever the user steps away from the workstation. XyLoc uses an electronic USB Lock and an active RF proximity Key (badge) to constantly protect the workstation, ensuring that only authorized users are granted access.
XyLoc Security Server (XSS) is a web server based application that centrally manages and monitors XyLoc users and XyLoc-protected PCs throughout the enterprise. XSS allows IT managers to easily implement and administer XyLoc across multiple segments of their networks. There are two versions of the XSS available. There is a choice of SQL or Active Directory via Schema Extension. The “kiosk account” capabilities of XSS provide fast, secure access to information in a multi-user, shared computer environment typical of the healthcare industry – all while keeping a detailed audit log with date and time of who has accessed each workstation, a requirement for HIPPA and other government regulations.
